Week 4: Let the nesting begin

Comic library

It’s week 4 of Org Junkie’s 52 Weeks of Organizing. I’m going to try to condense as much as possible because I did a lot this week! I guess many people who joined this challenge have found it hard to stop once they’ve started and I’m right there with you.

Week 3: I need counter space!

Cleared off counter

It’s week 3 of Org Junkie’s 52 Weeks of Organizing. I got really annoyed with my kitchen and decided to jump ahead a week on my plan. The Eco-nomical Baby Guide

The Eco-nomical Baby Guide

I love books like this that give a little extra motivation for living more sustainably. In this case, saving money. The book shows you how to reduce the average expense of first-time parents from almost $7000 to under $1000 in the first year.

Week 2: Scanning Like Mad

Photos from mom's album

It’s Week 2 of Org Junkie’s 52 Weeks of Organizing. This week my goal was to tackle the “memories” box from my mom’s sister (photos, newspaper clippings, graduation invitations, etc) as well as my mom’s childhood photo album.

First Organizing Project

For my first project in the 52 Weeks of Organizing, I wanted to purge and reorganize our Christmas decorations. My goal was to go from the two large boxes I started with to one box.

52 Weeks of Organizing (Plan)

Laura from is starting a new weekly organizational challenge. This is perfect timing for me, and I am more than excited to join. We’ve been coasting along enjoying this exciting time of anticipating our first baby, but planned to get down to the business of actually making space for the baby in 2011.

Hope you have a good “one”

Happy New Year! Hope you have a good “one.” (Did you notice that today is 1-1-11?) My mother-in-law says that whatever you’re doing on the first will tell you what the rest of your year is going to be like. I’m having some quiet family time. I hope you’re doing something that makes you happy!
